KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) -- Allscripts has marked its maiden expansion to the Middle East, providing ambulatory care services for the ‘Alfardan Medical with Northwestern Medicine’ project in Qatar.
The healthcare information technology solutions provider has been selected by the Alfardan Group, one of the leading family-owned conglomerates in Qatar and Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine.
Allscripts’ ambulatory care services includes Sunrise™ Ambulatory; Sunrise™ Surgery; Sunrise™ Radiology; Allscripts® Clinical Performance Management; Allscripts Lab;™ and, iPro Anesthesia™.
Based at Burj Alfardan in Lusail, Alfardan Medical with Northwestern Medicine is the first of Alfardan Group's investments in the health sector.
The project is part of its social responsibility towards the State of Qatar and its vision to develop projects that will contribute to the realisation of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
High quality healthcare and a range of multi-disciplinary medical specialisations in a unique clinical environment will be offered through the project.
Allscripts Global president, Alan Fowles said with the help of the new partnership in the Middle East, the company could demonstrate the value of Allscripts commitment to open, connected communities of care to its people and across the globe.
Meanwhile, Alfardan Group chief executive officer and president, Omar Hussain Alfardan said the group believed Allscripts was the suitable partner to help them deliver world-class integrated healthcare to Qatar.
