AI-powered identity provider Jumio set to sizzle with new office in Samba land

KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Bernama) -- Jumio, the leading AI-powered trusted identity as a service provider has established a new sales office in Brazil to focus on the fast-growing Latin American market.

Along with the new office, Jumio also has appointed Samer Atassi as regional director to spearhead its regional expansion and established a Latam regional sales centre to strategically serve fintechs, financial service organisations and share economy companies of all sizes.

“Jumio’s end-to-end verification solutions will reshape the region’s traditional banking landscape. These macro trends, coupled with Samer’s proven Latam track record, will justify the company’s investment in one of our most strategic geographies,” said Jumio’s vice-president of Americas, Harnish Patel.

Atassi will focus on expanding Jumio’s client base, growing relationships with existing clients as well as cultivate a sustainable channel network with his more than 25 years of experience in international sales, channel development and marketing management.

Prior to joining Jumio, Atassi worked at NetScout Systems, Network General and 3Com. At NetScout, he managed all aspects of the business in Latin America, including strategic planning, sales forecasting and creating and educating the go-to-market strategy of the region.

Jumio is well positioned to serve the fintechs and established banks which are mandated to provide Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering compliant identity verification services to millions of people in Latin America.

Beyond financial services, the launch of Jumio’s Latam hub presents tremendous opportunities for businesses and the partners to minimise the risk of identity fraud, account takeover, tax evasion, corruption and terrorism financing.
