KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- Cisco Systems Inc has announced two new consumption models; Tetration SaaS and Tetration-V for its Cisco Tetration solution for the data center and cloud.
With the new consumption models, organisations would adopt Tetration technology within hours, with no initial investment and the flexibility to pay as they grow. Cisco Tetration SaaS will be available in May 2018 while Tetration-V is available now.
Cisco in a statement said that Tetration SaaS is a cloud-based solution for cloud-first and cloud-only organisations, while Tetration-V is a software-only version using a virtual appliance for smaller deployments.
"Tetration SaaS model offers workload protection features without any on-premises hardware, scalability up to 25,000 workloads, data retention for months and built-in high availability and disaster recovery capability.
"Meanwhile for deployments fewer than 1000 workloads and prefer a software-only approach, Tetration-V offers one-click deployment and allows organisations to use own server and storage infrastructure," the statement added.
Both Tetration models deliver a ready-to-use solution to identify data center applications, their detailed dependencies and the underlying policies between different application tiers.
Tetration automates application dependency mapping and whitelist policy generation and enforcement, gives insight into network performance and offers cloud workload protection.
