FASTLY RECOGNIZED AS A LEADER IN EDGE DEVELOPMENT PLATFORMS, ONLY VENDOR WITH DIFFERENTIATED RANKING IN SECURITY

Independent Research Firm ranks Fastly as one of only two leaders in new report on emerging edge development platforms

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 28 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fastly, Inc. (NYSE: FSLY), a global edge cloud platform provider, today announced it was named a Leader in The Forrester New Wave™: Edge Development Platforms, Q4 2021 report. Fastly’s Compute@Edge was given differentiated scores, the highest possible, across six criteria, including vision, roadmap, developer experience, platform execution model, and day-two-plus experience. Fastly was also the only vendor to receive a differentiated rating in the security criterion, and believes this validates the strength of the company’s current serverless compute offering.

According to the Forrester New Wave report, Fastly’s Compute@Edge “offers secure edge compute with negligible cold starts” and “starts within the time it takes to complete a transport layer security handshake. The result: no more pre-warming for maximum serverless performance. Fastly’s custom-built runtime isolates requests on a per-instance basis and supports Rust and Javascript software development kits.”

“When we built Compute@Edge, our goal was to empower developers to architect globally distributed applications faster and more securely on the network edge. Years of investment in custom-built technology have allowed us to do this, and today we are honored to be recognized as a leader by Forrester in the New Wave report for Edge Development Platforms,” said Tyler McMullen, CTO at Fastly. “I’m particularly thrilled to have maintained our commitment to security and the developer experience, allowing our customers to enjoy a more secure, higher-performing serverless compute environment designed to build the next era of modern applications. ”

Fastly’s Compute@Edge received differentiated scores in the following criteria, all of which have been foundational priorities for Fastly’s Compute@Edge from the beginning:

· Security: Compute@Edge leverages Fastly’s unique isolation technology that creates and destroys a sandbox for each request flowing through its platform in microseconds. This effectively eliminates an entire class of security vulnerabilities and side-channel attacks while simultaneously and holistically minimizing attack surface area.

· Developer Experience: We empower developers to build applications and execute custom logic in languages they know and love. Compute@Edge workloads run directly on Fastly’s globally distributed edge cloud platform, using features such as real-time logging and stats, enhanced CLI functionality, Terraform API support, and more to provide the most developer-centric serverless option on the market. Fastly's Developer Hub also helps developers push application logic to the edge with ready-to-deploy code examples, structured tutorials, and API documentation.

· Vision and Roadmap: Just as virtual machines and containers enabled previous generations of technology, Fastly's WebAssembly-based approach builds on open standards to give developers a trusted platform on which to build their most important apps. Fastly aims to fuel the momentum behind its serverless compute environment by continuing to contribute to these open standards, setting new expectations for how fast and secure edge serverless should be.

By building advanced applications and custom logic on the edge, organizations can reduce infrastructure cost, scale instantly, and enhance the most latency-sensitive use cases. Fastly continues to see strong traction for Compute@Edge with steady growth across a variety of geographies and industries, as more customers tap into its powerful serverless compute environment. Popular use cases include A/B testing, enhanced API performance, authentication, and more.

JUNIPER RESEARCH: ROAMING REVENUE LOSSES TO SURPASS $2 BILLION GLOBALLY BY 2026; NECESSITATING NEW CLEARING PROCESSES FOR OPERATORS

BASINGSTOKE, England, Oct 25 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- A new Juniper Research study has found operators will lose around $484 million in roaming revenue from the misidentification of roaming data traffic this year. These losses are expected to rise to $2.1 billion by 2026; representing absolute growth of 331%. The report found the inability to distinguish between 4G and 5G data traffic using current standards will result in greater losses as the travel industry returns to pre-pandemic levels and 5G adoption increases.

In response, the new research, Data & Financial Clearing: Emerging Trends, Key Opportunities & Market Forecasts 2021-2026, cited the support by operators for the BCE (Billing & Charging Evolution) protocol as being a key strategy to minimise the extent of revenue leakage. BCE is an end-to-end industry-wide standard defined by the GSMA that introduces new capabilities that identify roaming data traffic over different network technologies.

For more insights, download our free whitepaper: Mobile Roaming & the $2 Billion Revenue Leakage Problem

5G Roaming to Drive Roaming Market Evolution

This issue of misidentifying roaming data will only be exacerbated by the rising number of 5G subscribers roaming internationally. The report forecasts there will be over 200 million 5G roaming connections by 2026; rising from 5 million in 2021. This growth is driven by increasing 5G adoption and a return to pre-pandemic levels of international travel. In response, it urges operators to identify emerging areas of potential revenue leakage by leveraging machine learning in roaming analytics tools to efficiently assess roaming behaviour and data usage.

In addition, the report found to effectively mitigate the growing complexity of clearing processes arising from increased demand for data when roaming, operators must move away from established roaming clearing practices in favour of BCE.

Research author Scarlett Woodford remarked: “By combining BCE with AI-enabled roaming analytics suites, operators will be ideally positioned to deal with the rise in roaming data. Separating roaming traffic by network connectivity is essential to allow operators to charge roaming partners based on latency and download speed, and maximise overall 5G roaming revenue.”

FIRST-EVER GLOBAL STUDY OF DIVERSITY IN GRADUATE MANAGEMENT EDUCATION SHEDS LIGHT ON GAPS IN RACE AND GENDER

Report finds higher participation of African Americans in U.S. business schools than their white counterparts while women worldwide remain underrepresented, particularly in Europe

RESTON, Va., Oct 27 (Bernama-GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™), a global association of leading graduate business schools, today released a special report, “The Global Diversity of Talent – Attainment and Representation,” a first reference guide of its kind to better understand representation for graduate management education (GME) degree attainment worldwide. Understanding that education systems across the globe experienced disruption due to the pandemic, GMAC turned to its leading research capability as universities sought to adapt with a renewed attention to issues of student access and equity, as well as diversity and representation in tertiary educational attainment. The report provides a global overview, seven regional outlooks, and separate reports for 69 locations or countries with an estimated 25,000 or more people in the student-aged population of 20 to 34 who have attained a master’s degree in the subject of business, administration, or law. In addition to a separate appendix that reviews data on 111 other countries, it also examines the representation of women globally and underrepresented groups in the United States.

“At GMAC, we recognize that a diverse student body in gender, race and background lifts us all as it creates a richer student experience and increases sensitivity to the issues that affect others,” said Sangeet Chowfla, president and CEO of GMAC. “This report – the first global state of the industry view about diversity in graduate management education – is intended not only to serve as an informative guide, but also as a base to target outreach and advocate for the value of graduate business degrees to underrepresented populations around the globe.”

CROCUS TECHNOLOGY EXPANDS HIGH PRECISION PORTFOLIO OF ISOLATED CURRENT SENSORS OVER INDUSTRIAL AND AUTOMOTIVE TEMPERATURE RANGES

The CT425 family of XtremeSense® TMR products offers high accuracy isolated current sensing with Common Mode Field Rejection at 1 MHz bandwidth

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct 26 (Bernama-GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Crocus Technology Inc., the leading supplier of disruptive Tunnel Magneto-Resistance XtremeSense® sensors, today announces the CT425, CT426, CT427 and CT428 isolated current sensors with <1% total error over the full operating temperature range without sacrificing accuracy or bandwidth. The high-speed operation and accurate output allow customers to optimize system design for smaller size and higher efficiency.

The CT42x with less than 300 ns response time greatly simplifies the solution in EV Charging applications which are utilizing GaN (Gallium Nitride) or SiC (Silicon Carbide) transistors to improve power density. Likewise, the CT42x offers improvements in terms of performance and size compared to the classic isolated current sense solutions which utilize a shunt resistor, amplifier, and digital isolator to sense the voltage and convert this signal into a current measurement. The CT42x directly senses the flow of current through the package avoiding errors in conversion and provides inherently faster and more accurate measurements. With industry leading response time of 300 ns, high power architectures like the CCM Totem-Pole PFC can provide higher power density solutions. The fast switching frequency of Wide Bandgap (WBG) power devices requires a current sensor that can detect fast transients to prevent potential cascading failures. The integration in a space saving SOIC-8 package also reduces the total PCB footprint size by up to 8 times smaller compared to existing solutions.

The CT42x has robust built-in immunity to common-mode fields which allows the device to reject greater than 99% of external stray magnetic fields without the need for external shielding while maintaining <1% total accuracy. Crocus’ proprietary TMR technology inherently offers a very high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) which allows for high resolution measurements required for precision control or monitoring applications.

“The expansion of this product family brings more options to our customers to experience the high precision performance of our XtremeSense TMR products in more demanding applications,” states Zack Deiri, President and CEO of Crocus Technology. “Previously our customers would select products that offered them good performance on one parameter over temperature and then they would adjust their design to compensate for the other parameters. With Crocus products they are finding they can achieve high precision and high bandwidth offering them a comprehensive high performance solution.”

Uniphore Unveils the Industry’s Broadest and Most Comprehensive Conversational Automation Platform

Uniphore completes the acquisition of Jacada and rolls out a powerful platform that will transform the Customer Experience Market

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct 22 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Uniphore announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Jacada and is unveiling the industry’s most comprehensive platform that will further enable enterprises to transform customer experiences.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20211021005521/en/

Uniphore’s integrated Conversational Automation platform now combines Conversational AI, workflow automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), low-code/no-code capabilities and a business user friendly UX to transform and democratize customer experiences. This empowers contact center agents to deliver highly effective, personalized and empathetic interactions.

Digital transformation is key to contact centers providing the ultimate modern day customer service experience and how conversations are handled during the entire customer journey — pre, during and post interaction.

Top enhancements and benefits of Uniphore’s Conversational Automation platform include:

Industry’s Most Advanced Agent-Assist Solution
Uniphore’s advanced conversational AI for sentiment, intent and emotion analysis, together with Jacada’s workflow and desktop automation empower agents with the most comprehensive agent-assist solution, U-Assist.

With U-Assist, agents are guided in real-time during calls with next-best action based on customer intent, conversation content, sentiment and emotion. After the call, agents’ promises made during the call are registered and automation is used to ensure their fulfillment. This merger adds a new level of best-in-class automation to real-time agent-assisted interactions, and a superior agent performance and customer experience.

Superior Business User Friendly UX
The integration of Jacada’s business user friendly UX that drives both self-service and agent- assisted interactions with Uniphore’s industry-leading CA platform bridges the gap between legacy systems of contact center process automation and modern-day automation powered by AI. This empowers business users to accelerate the rapid development and quick implementation of next-gen customer experience applications across self-service and agent-assisted interactions.

The intuitive and simple-to-use UX allows business users to use the same business logic and call flows to rapidly develop and implement self-service and agent-assisted applications.

Enhanced Self Service with Multimodal Capabilities
Uniphore’s U-Self Serve, a conversational self-service solution is enhanced with the addition of Jacada’s multimodal and visual IVR (Interactive Voice Response) capabilities. With the enhancement, customers are now able to seamlessly self-service routine interactions with minimal friction across all channels and leverage digital capabilities on IVR interactions.

Attended and Unattended RPA
Availability of both attended and unattended RPA increases agent efficiencies with knowledge base integration during in-call with customers to improve accuracies and productivity. The availability of both attended and unattended RPA capabilities helps improve automation of agent interactions (both intelligent virtual agents and human agents) during the call as well as post call to help drive better customer and agent experience.

“I’m extremely proud of the work that the teams at Uniphore and Jacada have done to make the integration of the Jacada platform into ours smooth and seamless,” said Umesh Sachdev, CEO and Co-founder of Uniphore. “The power of the two platforms coming together, along with our future innovations in the conversational automation space will truly transform the customer experience in a range of industries, from sales and marketing, to education, HR, healthcare and beyond.”

“Conversational Automation really is the next frontier in digital transformation. Organizations have an urgent need for platforms that provide end-to-end support for the customer experience,” said Dan Miller, Lead Analyst and Founder at Opus Research. “With the acquisition of Jacada and the integration of its low-code/no-code interface and unattended RPA capabilities, the potential for Uniphore’s platform grow beyond contact centers and customer service to truly enterprise-wide applications.”

With the successful close of the Jacada acquisition, Uniphore will continue to expand globally including enhancing its centers of excellence around the world.

5G capabilities fuel US$12 billion private cellular networks expenditure by 2023 - Juniper Research

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 -- A new report by Juniper Research has found the enhanced capabilities of 5G are driving enthusiasm and awareness of private cellular networks; bringing annual spend on network hardware and services to almost US$12 billion globally by 2023, growing 116 per cent from the US$5.5 billion expected for 2021. (US$1 = RM4.154)

5G deployments have a key role to play here: over 60 per cent of base stations used in these deployments in 2023 will be 5G, thanks to its ultra-low latency, and signal propagation properties that allow deployment in environments where conventional networks struggle.

The new report, Private Cellular Networks: Spectrum Assessment, Business Models & Forecasts 2021-2026, notes these networks will be almost entirely business driven. The most prominent sectors will be manufacturing, mining, and the energy industry; accounting for 59 per cent of spend in 2023.

The report notes that, despite their dominant position in public cellular networks, traditional operators risk missing out on much of the private network market.

Instead, Juniper Research believes telecommunications network vendors, like Ericsson and Nokia, are in the best position to capitalise on private networks; offering their hardware and value-added services directly to businesses looking to utilise private networks.

“With private networks frequently entirely separate from public networks, the role of traditional mobile network operators can be minimal in many cases,” remarked research author James Moar in a statement.

“This means that hardware providers and systems integrators will play more dominant roles, given the right regulatory framework.”

The report notes private network deployments are uneven globally, with the largest markets being those with the most open or flexible spectrum allocation. Germany and the United States are among the most advanced; offering localised leasing and general spectrum availability.

As a result, these two countries will account for 30 per cent of global private network spend in 2023, although this will decline as other countries release spectrum for private network usage.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 (Bernama) -- A book, Global Development of TIENS Group: Swap, Transcendence and Success has been grandly published globally in October.

In 2015, a private company organised more than 6,700 employees to travel to Nice, France, setting a Guinness World Record which in turn, was reported by mainstream media in 167 countries worldwide and became a global news.

The interpretation, secrets and answers of the company’s 26 years of development all lay in the book, Unlocking the Emperor's Door which was published in London in January this year and in the book, Global Development of TIENS Group: Swap, Transcendence and Success.

Based on a statement, these two books, together with Li Jinyuan and TIENS Group, New Swap and Transcendence Theory, form the wisdom theory system of TIENS Group.

Li Jinyuan and TIENS Group records the entrepreneurial stories; New Swap and Transcendence Theory presents the theoretical innovation; Open the Emperor’s Door records the development process; and, Global Development of TIENS Group: Swap, Transcendence and Success integrates the theoretical system.

Chairman of TIENS Group, Li Jinyuan, hopes the four books can guide everyone to open the door of wisdom, embark on the road of pursuit, step into the dream hall, and finally reach the top of their own glory.

The Global Development of TIENS Group: Swap, Transcendence and Success book combines new innovative practices to form theoretical improvement.

Through empirical analysis and comparative study, it comprehensively elaborates that how a global enterprise group, on the basis of ‘replacement and reorganisation’, integrate the latest business practices, information technology, and, network management and communication technology, among others, to realise the close combination of traditional business and modern network information technology, and realise ‘self-subversion and transcendence’ on this basis.

More importantly, this book deeply analyses the key factors of success, and lists typical cases of these factors promoting the development of enterprises, which plays a very important reference and guiding role for the global layout and development of enterprises.
