KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), won the 'Excellence in Data Center Services Award, South East Asia', at Datacloud Asia Awards 2018 in Singapore.
GCX is a subsidiary of Reliance Communications.
In addition to this award, GCX chairman and chief executive officer, Bill Barney was honoured with the 'Data Center Thought Leadership Award' in recognition of his significant contributions to the data center industry.
"We are honoured to accept these prestigious awards, which are a testament to the entire GCX team and our commitment to achieve and deliver customer service excellence and technological innovation in network infrastructure, supporting the dynamic data center and cloud ecosystems," said Barney.
Meanwhile, BroadGroup chairman, Philip Low commented that Barney is an industry veteran with tremendous insight and experience, a brilliant exponent of cloud, and possessing remarkable depth of insight into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the sector.
"For all these reasons, he was rightly awarded Thought Leader of the Year at Datacloud Asia 2018," added Low in a statement.
The Datacloud Asia Awards, one of the most revered accolades in the technology sector, recognise innovation and excellence in the flourishing Asia digital infrastructure market.
Winners of this year's awards in all categories were chosen by an independent expert panel of judges from across the data center and cloud industry segments, with the objective of recognising excellence in data centre and cloud services and operations.
Datacloud Asia 2018, now in its second year in Asia, has evolved as a well-recognised and acknowledged beacon of high-quality content, offering thought leadership across the critical IT infrastructure markets.
