SERDANG (Selangor, Malaysia), June 13 (Bernama) -- Investment company
Oriental Mace Group (OM) has signed a US$151,689 (RMB1 billion, US$1 = RMB6.59) sales agreement with China's Wuzhen Ledian PZ Point Pte. Ltd. (Ledian) for the sales of a Malaysian mobile application in China. Wuzhen Ledian, one of China's top 500 conglomerates, has committed the sales value by corporate purchase among its subsidiaries. Called 'Ledian-mobiz', the app is a 100 per cent Malaysian engineered mobile application created by PZ Point Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Oriental Mace, and is now being sold in China with the ownership of the intellectual property also held by Malaysia. The app is a new evolution of mobile business platform for retail businesses that allow vendors with immediate access to personalised app for their products and services. OM Group managing director Datuk Wong Kong Choong said the agreement signed encompasses a bigger corporate roadmap that involves corporatisation of Ledian and its IPO objective. He said OM would capitalise on its group resources and expertise in Ledian's IPO aspiration in two years' time. Meanwhile, OM Chief Executive Officer Prof Dr. Wong Kong Yew said the app would help vendors and retailers cut down their production period from three months to almost instantly in selling their products online. He said the app, which was launched in China on March 28 this year, has already been a proven success. "It's already a confirm sales. I can't tell you exactly how much the cost involved, but it is definitely very attractive for us moving forward. "I can even assume that the RMB1 billion of sales for a potential product like this, it will probably multiply by 10 in the future. "There are already more than 200 users for the app. We are at the moment focusing on China's market where the best and the most potential customers will be. "We plan to bring back the product to Malaysia in the next three months and at the same time launch it for Dubai and India," he told Bernama after the signing ceremony here, Sunday. The app goes live on both Apple and Androids. --BERNAMA |
