HONG KONG, Jan 29 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- A.M. Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A+ (Superior) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “aa-” of Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company (Meiji Yasuda) (Japan). The outlook of these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable.
The ratings reflect Meiji Yasuda’s balance sheet strength, which A.M. Best categorizes as very strong, as well as its strong operating performance, favorable business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management. The company’s capital requirements, as measured by Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR), continue to be driven by asset risk, due to its sizeable investment assets relative to its capital and surplus. Also, the company maintains a modest gap between asset and liability durations. Meiji Yasuda’s financial leverage remains adequate for the current ratings. http://mrem.bernama.com/viewsm.php?idm=31046 |
