KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) --The National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA) now offers several digital art courses, especially in animation and digital game, at both diploma and degree levels.
The courses, managed by the Faculty of Animation and Multimedia, are aimed at producing quality graduates who specialised in animation and digital game by incorporating arts, culture and heritage values with modern technology, according to the media statement issued by ASWARA today.
It said the faculty was also established as an answer to the call made by the Higher Education Ministry to enliven technical and vocational education and training (TVET), especially in the fields of digital art, animation and video production.
Among the courses available are Diploma in Animation, Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Animation and Bachelor´s Degree with Honours in Digital Game.
The statement said the faculty had also received international fund from ASEAN to build the Melaka 1511 nature simulation on the virtual reality platform, which had been seen as an opportunity for the academy to remain active in the industry and strengthen the TVET.
The project, which involves the cooperation from industry players, researchers, historians and also ASWARA students, is aimed at encouraging problem-based learning, besides improving the maturity of thinking as well as the culture of professionalism needed by graduates, the statement added.
