IPT Requirements For Vocational Diploma Graduates - MQA

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- To pursue education at local institutions of higher education (IPT), graduates of the Vocational Diploma Programme (DVM) under the education ministry should fulfil two requirements before pursuing their education at local institutions of higher education (IPT).

In a statement today, the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) said the two requirements were possessing work experience at least until the age of 21 and an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) certificate from the agency involved.

TOSHIBA'S NEW TRANSISTOR ARRAYS HAVE DATA STORAGE FUNCTION

TOKYO, Oct 13 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Toshiba Corporation's (TOKYO: 6502) Storage & Electronic Devices Solutions Company today announced the launch of "TBD62089APG", a new-generation transistor array for applications such as LED lighting for amusement equipment and high voltage signal transmitters for industrial equipment. The new IC incorporates D-type Flip Flop circuits (8 bit type) in the input part that support a data storage function. Sample shipments start today with mass production scheduled to start at the end of December 2016.

TOKYO, Oct 13 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- The TOKYO SHINTORA MATSURI Executive Committee today announced that it will hold its TOKYO SHINTORA MATSURI festival on Tokyo's Shintora-dori Avenue, the new thoroughfare constructed as part of the Toranomon area redevelopment, on November 19 and 20. The festival will be the first major event utilizing the new space created in the Shintora (Shimbashi–Toranomon) district, Tokyo's new international hub for business and culture. It will include the Tohoku Rokkonsai (six festivals) Parade, a special street display combining the attractions of individual festivals from the cities of Aomori, Akita, Morioka, Yamagata, Sendai, and Fukushima in the Tohoku region.

The Tohoku Rokkonsai Parade was first staged in 2011 in the city of Sendai, aiming to inspire the recovery of a region struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake earlier that year; it has since been staged annually in other major cities across Tohoku. THE WORLD'S 3RD LARGEST BOOK FAIR TO HOST 1,420 PUBLISHING HOUSES DISPLAYING 1.5 MILLION TITLES IN SHARJAH
